Only Students that are Personal Students of Grand Master Douglas McLeod May be on This Family Tree!

Or Masters that wish their Students to be on this Family Tree Must Ask Grand Master McLeod Permission since he owns this Site and all Copyrights to this Page!

Students that are still Teaching, and you show your roots, and know the information, we can promote you, or if we felt you did something special for the community.

In Rare occasions' a Student's Rank is taken away because his instructor has to leave, and is given a list of things to do in order to official become that rank, either with knowledge or another requirement, and if he refuses to do the requirements, but his rank will always be waiting for him once he has done the honorably requests, unless he had reason, then there are exceptions.  When a student "BREAKS THE REQUIREMENTS OF AGREEMENT, MAY IT BE ORAL OR WRITTEN, THEN THAT STUDENT, MAY LOOSE HIS RANK FOR A PERIOD OF TIME OR UNTIL HE OR SHE FULFILLS THE AGREEMENT", this is in the by-laws of Yen Ch'ing Tao, and voted on by Board of Directors and Higher Ranks.  So, if you are taken off the family tree, it is because it is a living Tree, do not make agreement or promises and Break it.

(He has taken lesson for Grand Master McLeod, and is goal is to become a full Black Belt in Yen Ch'ing Tao)

*Probationary Black Belts That Have to Finished their Requirements that was a verbal or written contract!

They have one year to show attempt to learn the material and a Master can let me know he or she is trying and we will extend the contract for anyone who is trying and is certain to want to be part of Yen Ch'ing Tao Family, and will help Yen Ch'ing Tao or learn the material!

Or

* Probationary Black Belts are New Black Belts to Yen Ch'ing Tao, Their Certificates Has a Year Expiration Date:

This is in Case the Black Belt on Probationary Breaks any Rule or By-Laws of Yen Ch'ing Tao and then their Rank is Revoked Immediately and the Public will see the expiration Date.  However, After Six Months, a Student may come off Probation Status.

Associated Black Belts, Masters, Professors, and Grand Masters, are Ranks that were promoted or awarded for outstanding achievements in martial arts that are associated with Yen Ch'ing Tao, and have also became part of the Family of Yen Ch'ing Tao, But did NOT go through all the required Yen Ch'ing Tao Techniques, Katas, Theories and Concepts, and the rest of the requirements, but were tested to the highest level or Helped Yen Ch'ing Tao in many other ways.  We appreciate these Associated Ranks and People, but want to make it clear to all ranks and Public that these ranks did learn the material and requirements from white belt and higher, we do have much higher requirements, and have been with our family for at least 20 years to become a Grand Master, and 10 years to become a Master, and 5 Years+ or special instruction to become an instructor in Yen Ch'ing Tao.  An Associate Ranks "Cannot teach Yen Ch'ing Tao, unless they have permission from the board of Professors and Grand Masters, and we will make it very clear who is allowed, and next to their name, we will say they have the right to teach to a certain Level.

Also for an Associate Black Belt the costs can be $100 to $200 per Rank, Depending on your purpose of using Yen Ch'ing Tao, some use our site purely for profit or recognition gains, which we discourage, we hope that you use your ranks to help the innocent and others that need help in our community.  And if you do help others, then the costs are low, some cases free, but not many, as we do have to pay bills and get our message out there.

We will NOT give Rank away, and anyone who truly wants to learn the system, then we are here to teach it, and give all ranks a chance, Yen Ch'ing Tao is not for everyone, its requirements are probably one of the highest requirement in most martial arts systems. Please Read Techniques for requirement, and you will understand  a little better what we as a school is fair, but the requirement are high!

Also if we forgot to put you on the list please let us know, and the correction will be made!

We have only Taken Away ONE Black Belt on the Above List, because of Criminal Charges, in 37 years in Yen Ch'ing Tao

Instructor's Third Degree Black Belt or Higher have my permission to teach Yen Ch'ing Tao, however to use the name Yen Ch'ing Tao, please contact Sifu McLeod for permission.

Also, the best way for anyone to, including new students to achieve your goals, especially personal goals, such as higher rank, or extreme self-defense or street combat techniques, where you can defend yourself - in months against most attacks, is to take private lessons, Home Training.
