GRAND MASTER McLeod started martial arts in the early “60’s” studying Ju Jitsu. While attending the Army and Navy Academy and he began his studies in Tang So Do.  In 1966 he began his training with Tracy’s Kenpo Karate at their head quarters in San Jose, California.  Receiving his 1^st degree black belt in 1971 from Tracy’s the largest Kenpo organization in the world, and while attending San Jose State University of California, he was on the Varsity Judo Team for Years he continued his martial arts training. He opened his first martial arts school in 1971 in Santa Cruz, California and then opened up a chain of schools and crime fighting organization in the Monterey Bay Area.  He continued his training in many styles and from world famous Masters in Kung Fu and other martial art systems, such as from Great Grand Master Sifu Wing Lam from China, Great Grand Master Tino Tuiolosega in Limalama, Grand Master Tadish Yamashita, Great Grand Master Ed Parker, Great Grand Master Al Tracy and many other masters in several arts.  He also studied boxing, kick-boxing, realistic self-defense and emergency tactics, and took courses in security in college in tactics, hand gun shooting, side handle baton and studied over 20 martial art weapons, then developed his own style after about 15 years of non-stop training called Yen Ch’ing Tao, which he has over 120 black belt under him including several Grand Masters and Masters.  Having taught many police departments and security officers and making over 50 videos on crime prevention and awareness as well as writing a recent book on this subject called “Fight Back America”, he is consider one of the top Martial Art Masters in the world as well as a security and crime prevention expert.  He continued to open up martial arts schools and crime fighting security companies and in 1995 started Street Smart System of Self-Defense, Inc, a Hawaiian non-profit tax exempt organization that is dedicated to empowering the public in crime awareness an is still the founder and executive director, as a volunteer, helping fighting crime throughout Hawaii and now in Nevada.

Seminar Will Cover the following and More!

•   Seminar will cover Extreme Hand to hand Combat in "Life and Death Situations", Multi-Simultaneous Attacks, Gang Attacks, Home Break-ins, Road Rage, and much more using Kenpo, Limalama, Yen Ch'ing Tao, and Actual Street Attacks with Scenarios. •   Second Part of Seminar will be Tactics that are deadly with how to disarm Attackers with Weapons, and then how to use the weapons against your attackers, Guns, Knives, Clubs, and any other weapons, and how to use your natural weapons and environmental Weapons.

•   Grand Master McLeod studied the Cane 20 Years before the Cane Master, who I respect, but our techniques are for life and Death Situations, when you are injured or taking your Dog for a walk, The Cane is the number "One" Weapon in Martial Arts, and is legal to carry on a Plane at anytime.  It is based on two types of swords, short Stick, and a Staff. +++++++++++++ Times are tough and many large businesses have ruined this country and do not care about fairness, honor, or any aspects of the hard working employees that work hard to make sure they have a descent life!  I Lived in Hawaii, and all my life I have done community service for the community and encouraged my friends and especially my higher Rank Students to do some type of community services.  I have done well over 30,000 hours of free community services and even lost money most the time, so kids, elderly, and many women who were victims of crime in our society were given a second chance in life.  I worked closely with the community and many programs, such as "Women Helping Women", Y.W.C.A., Y.M.C.A., Senior Citizens, Retired Teachers associations, hospitals how to control gangs and others in ER Room, and helped D.A.R.E. officer to put on programs how to protect your Children from being abducted, which included doing a High Level College Term Paper/Study on Child Safety, and even when I was in College at the University of California in the 70's, taking psychology Classes, I did a project helping fortunate and the un-fortunate Children and Teens to learn self-defense against bullies and more important how to receive empowerment so they may change and have a successful future and become an assets to our society.  At times many of these projects were very frustrating, but I did not give up and continued to help when ever I could, the stress on myself was high at times because many kids from broken homes did not have good parenting  and did not trust others, and you may say many times I was the victim of their attitude, and I started doing this at the age of 20.  I remember I took a group of kids from the Awful living conditions that live in Government Housing projects, rat and drug infested to a nice park so they could enjoy a little beauty; that most other kids took for granite,  it gave me a lot of pleasure seeing their happiness and being able to help them for even a day.  I did things weekly for them, and then I was assigned to do the opposite, and help the kids who were wealthy and had no visible problems, and I tell you the kids who had nothing, even though they had the tough kid syndrome and had to be hard asses to survive, they were more grateful for having someone like me, who truly cared about them.

I always helped society and its needs with my organizations and with my personal knowledge that may have helped a person, and in some cases even helped save their life, and I remember how a college female was able to fight off a rapist and use her empowerment and self-defense I gave her.  I did many women and elderly self-defense and crime prevention classes, and probably after teaching over 30 to 40 thousand students in 48 years of my martial arts, security, empowerment methods and awareness program, as well as letting the youngest and the oldest understand you can do some type of protection, that may save your life one day; even if you are in a wheel chair, that the reward knowing I may have saved a life, or stopped a person from having nightmares the rest of their life, because I took the time to show that anyone can protect themselves using Awareness, Prevention, Preparation, Execution, and Empowerment methods was my reward.  I also showed the door, that I opened for them for higher training if they needed it, especially if it was this was necessary for your daily life, such as "Law Informant", so I always gave Law Enforcement and many times Military free lessons and often a Key to my organization so they could use the facilities anytime, where, once I knew they would use this knowledge to protect themselves as well as the community, I would give a Key, which met I had lots of respect for their positions in life they chosen for themselves, and the police departments in California and Hawaii appreciated me caring about them, with them putting their lives on the line to protect members of our society and many times very low pay.
